Adrian Butler
Executive Vice President, Human Resources
Adrian Butler is Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Cengage Learning and a member of the Cengage Learning Executive Committee. His primary focus is to provide HR consultation and guidance, while overseeing all HR aspects of the organization. He is also responsible for helping to ensure Cengage Learning's global HR strategies and programs are aligned with the overall business goals. Prior to joining the company in 2005, Mr. Butler led Human Resources for Thomson Financial - Europe, from 2001. His previous experience also includes four years with Thomson Learning as HR director for the International Division.
Mr. Butler has a wealth of strategic change management experience in market leading customer-focused organizations. He started his career as a graduate trainee with British American Tobacco Industries and held international management roles with the global media group WPP, real estate consultants Cushman & Wakefield and property developers Grosvenor Limited.
Mr. Butler has a BA degree from the University of Leeds in England.
